Clearly, the best Final Fantasy character is Locke Cole.
Glamour is TRUE ENDGAME
Compared to SAM/ AST/ DRG- a simple fix that does not sacrifice the play style is remove cast times and cut pot. That can be done in a hot fix.
Brads and MCH already lose dps potential when they use their support skills- as a whole most are cool with that. I think that alone doesn't make support dps overpowered.
I don't have the data but other have said even with gu and wm - brads n MCH are behind in dps. Which I' m ok with just not the sacrifice in play style.
That would be way more complicated than a hotfix. 3.0 brd is balanced around wm and its corresponding moves. It's extremely dishonest to just say "remove cast times and cut potency."Compared to SAM/ AST/ DRG- a simple fix that does not sacrifice the play style is remove cast times and cut pot. When in doubt, assume sarcasm
People are still struggling to cope with this?
Sorry you can't kite things anymore. At least you're not a black mage who might as well be half buried.'
At least it feels like your doing more in between GCDs, and you REALLY don't move as much as you think you do. I've had to deal with countless bards/machinists who would not turn WM/GB on, and not one of them moved for their whole rotation, and when they did, they stopped attacking.

As the developers said it was the issue of balancing Damage vs Mobility.
Higher Mobility = less damage
Higher Damage = less mobility.
SE doesn't want a Job to be both High Damage and High Mobility or else they will face the 'Perfect DPS" issue which is a DPS Job that can perform high damage and have high mobility.
If they remove cast bar on WM and GB then you will have to expect them to lower the damage increase to probably 10% damage or lower instead of current 30% damage as the balance for giving BRD and WM their high mobility back in their DPS Stance.
MCH also suffer far less from their DPS stance GB since if you are using GB right the only three skills you should have charge bar is Split shot, lead shot, and Hot shot. All other skills still remain instant cast and rapid fire removes the cast bar for three skill which should only be used for Split, lead, and Hot shot due to them being the only 3 skills that MCH has a charge bar in GB stance. Slug shot and Clean Shot remains instant cast when used in Combo.
The charge bar is also only 1.5 seconds which is half the time a BLM and SMN takes to cast their skill which is 3 seconds. Players can easily move around the 1 second mark to move out of any AoE without cancelling their skill unlike SMN and BLM which have to wait until the 2.5 second mark to perform that trick.

I still wonder what content there is where you have to be constantly on the move. I gotten MCH to 60 and I spend the majority of my fights just standing and shooting.
I used to hate Wanderers and the casting, but personally now I like it quite a bit and it certainly does matter when it comes to my dps.
FFXIV has 6 mages, you forgot
Card Mage(AST)
Blood Mage(DRK)
I guess if you want to get technical there is also 2 Pet Mages as well >_>
