100 potency from a buffbot vs 400 from, an actual damage dealer. Knockback as a DPS booster = insta-kick and blacklist.

Troll? Probably, but nonetheless. As a DPS, my first priority is to kill the monster, be it boss or trash. In order to do this, players should use every tool at their disposal. Buffs up? Wildfire on the target? I'm pretty sure that's significantly more damage, but alright. If as a machinist my only job is to buff the party, then why would I be given tools to both enhance my DPS and an ability that scales off the damage I do? (Wild fire, in case you didn't know, does more damage the damage you pile into it. Blank does damage. Get it? Got it? Good.)
