It's not that it will happen, it's that it can. Anyway, I find it incredibly stupid to picture multiple kids being the hero (and insulting to storyline characters playing the antagonist role... hell, even protagonists). I feel it's better to leave them as NPC's only and leave the heroic/stressful work to the adults (this including 18 year old teenagers).
