Selene all the way. The WHM can easily handle all the aoe damage by themselves.
My rotation for that whole phase is: Succor as 0.5 appears, Indom after double Cannons, DoTs up, physick + E4E on tank, emergency tactics, start casting succor 2-3 seconds after the big line aoes finish, prey + tank buster rotation, DPS until jump.

You're doing a lot more aoe healing then I would have suspected. Very interesting. Thanks.Selene all the way. The WHM can easily handle all the aoe damage by themselves.

EDIT: The raid is around 50-70% health depending on job (more for tanks) when the prey goes out. I often have to heal my prey target to full before I do the healing to keep the prey target alive. Maybe this is the problem. I cast medica 2 the same time you cast succor when the line aoe finish. I don't think I've been seeing a succor at that time from either of our sch.

My group uses Holmgang on Plasma #1 and #3 in order to relieve the pressure from the healers (my WAR saves IB + Vengence for Plasma #2 while PLD uses Hallowed). This allows you to Supervirus the Plasma that isn't being GODMODE'd to help mitigate it further.I don't think I've seen our war use holmgang much. Normally, he uses inner beat plus vengeance and maybe thrill of battle. He often drops to around 50% health when he's fully healed for the buster. It's going into the buster that's been the problem. I think he's done the holmgang panic when it knows he's not getting healed up enough for the buster.
As long as the WAR knows when he's going to Holmgang, it means the healers will know when to relax the healing on that tank and focus more on say, the other tank / prey targets. Then both WHM can pop a Tetragrammaton and SCH a Lustrate on the WAR to get them back up to speed in a pinch (you should just be able to Adlo + Cure if you keep a calm head).
Does your SCH have AST leveled, out of curiosity? Synastry almost trivializes this part thanks to how powerful it is on two target healing. That might assist too.
We could try this. Honestly, its pretty easy to heal my tank up after buster (he has like 60% life most of the time). I could easily help out with the other tank after mine is good. We just have to time holmgang right. I'm guessing the war uses it right before the buster? My group uses Holmgang on Plasma #1 and #3 in order to relieve the pressure from the healers (my WAR saves IB + Vengence for Plasma #2 while PLD uses Hallowed). I don't know about ast. Our sch is new. We've only raided one night.
Yep, pretty much just use Holmgang when Hypercompressed is about 25% full, I think? I don't tank so I can't comment on when to use it, but basically you want it online a bit before it goes off to allow for latency delay. We could try this. I'd suggest imparting on your SCH the importance of understanding the fight rotation. The fight, like many fights in XIV, are extremely scripted so you can more or less predict what's happening (but not quite who it's going to happen to in the case of Double Prey) so for them, it's just a matter of having more foresight into what's to come and responding accordingly.
Yea, that was back when we were all still mid i180s, so things were much tighter hp wise, and I can't really be bothered to change it now we are approaching i200, haha. It makes things much easier if people have to move into the far corners for missiles etc, I just need to make sure I'm within 15y of my tank and 2 dps. You're doing a lot more aoe healing then I would have suspected. Very interesting. Thanks.

This is what I'm thinking too. It was certainly the problem with our first sch.I'd suggest imparting on your SCH the importance of understanding the fight rotation. It sounded like the new sch knew the fight mechanics but isn't 100% solid on his rotation.
