Yep, pretty much just use Holmgang when Hypercompressed is about 25% full, I think? I don't tank so I can't comment on when to use it, but basically you want it online a bit before it goes off to allow for latency delay.

I'd suggest imparting on your SCH the importance of understanding the fight rotation. The fight, like many fights in XIV, are extremely scripted so you can more or less predict what's happening (but not quite who it's going to happen to in the case of Double Prey) so for them, it's just a matter of having more foresight into what's to come and responding accordingly.
