Right, close to none that affect those with more than 100,000 gil (almost everybody), you'll permanently affect the amount of gil on the server leading to inflation. The low value of one item is a better risk to take than the inflation of gil altogether and SE knows that, why else do you think they've set the limit? If it's to combat RMT, then there's no hope of them raising it.
