You're obviously blowing this out of proportion, so either you're exactly what I said earlier, or you're a troll. Either way,
talking in absolutes like this shows how narrow minded you really are. It's more of an insult to assume that every Japanese player has the same mindset then you think. They're not drones, and guess what: they have the same base emotions as Americans. SHOCKER! Yes, maybe more go quiet than not, but the same can be applied to Americans as well. I personally leave a DF if I feel the group will not succeed, e.g I give three strikes (sometimes more) while providing criticism and then I dip. In XI, I've seen Japanese players call players dirty gaijins, should I assume all JP players think that way?
In short, your sample size is just that, yours, and you're either a troll or simply ignorant. I hope it's the former :s.
Edit: are you American, btw? If so, way to reinforce the stereotype you despise by doing the exact same thing but on a forum. If you're not, good job being a hypocrite?

A...are you... are you getting mad? Are you livid? ... Are you one of those angry people that the OP was talking about? ... 'Cuz it sounds like you're angry.
But really... you're reading waaayyyy too much into my posts. Take a seat and cool off. Or, better yet, go outside and get some fresh air.
It's not healthy to be mad at a computer screen: your health is more important than a game or forum posts. (← This has been my point the whole time, btw)

Hmm... it looks like I didn't provide a more educated response. Sry bout that... Here ya go:
They have the same emotions, yes, but they are culturally conditioned to not show the ones that might make them stand out.
Ever heard of "the nail that sticks out gets hammered?" What about "public face vs private face?" No? I wouldn't think so. How about 仕方がない or しょうがない? That's how they deal with it. They live a life replete with social pressure everyday. Most dirty 外人, as you had put it, cannot understand this. You also just demonstrated this lack of understanding as well. Ever heard the term hikikomori? (Google it) ...That's what happens when a (usually Japanese) person (and almost always a young male adult) can no longer take the stress or pressures of his/her expectations. So, they shut themselves in. Why? Because, it's the result of escaping from the failure to keep up with the demands put upon them (often times, unrealistic or tangential to their life goals placed upon them by their parents). Because it's at the very core of Japanese society: living up to expectations. They are not allowed to stand out or make a scene, lest they get ostracized by their peers or superiors.
Ever lived in Japan for any period of time (as in not vacationing)? You would learn very quickly to adapt to their culture and values, or you will be on the receiving end of ridicule. Assuming you aren't breaking any laws, you'd probably be committing any number of faux pas.
There are some rebels of course. And they tend to dress to get it, and welcome the attention they get. But most do not: Some are adventurous, but most are more reserved.
Drones? No. But they show a great deal of decorum in any public setting. This extends to MMOs as well. In private, on the other hand, like in a close-knit FC or with friends or family, they can open up and fully express themselves.
Don't assume I'm as ignorant as you. I learnt the language, that also means I learnt the culture too.lol

The forums can be fun to read. Maybe worth the 15$ a month. The fights and such that go on here can be quite funny.
I did have some of this kind of play in Archeage when people were worried about their public appearance. However, I had a lot of fun stealing ships and blowing them up and pirating people like this. I just wish the game wasn't so.. "Korean.." ugh.. they ruined the game with its RNG and Pay to DOMINATE.
I don't care about my public image, never did. However if I went to a place I did, I would probably have to adjust because whilst I don't care what people say about me.. i'd rather look like someone people would like. ;P

I remember playing Archeage and there were 100 people in line for a quest, and I swooped down and killed the people in the front and then took their update from them and then flew away and used a boost to run. Was hilarious!
Anyways, if the game did have fun contested content I would love to fight others for updates and quests and gear again. Nothing like challenging others to content and having to contest it, really brings out the best in people.
I also love all the excitement, the trains and having to watch what you pull or you wipe and start all over. Miss it so much.

Maybe the OP should just change people to play with? Over here we're all plenty happy, or if someone's angry, it's generally at real life stuff.

I'm honestly confused on what you're trying to convey. I feel every reply you gave me, you've become more and more disconnected with the original context of what you quoted me on. I said it simply: Japan doesn't have a better culture in dealing with stress, and most Japanese players have the same base feelings that Americans do (I also said they respond differently). The weird thing is, you just admitted that yourself... I mean, on one hand you name call Americans and state how worthless they are, and then on the other you talk about how Japan vacuums emotions and it causes them to have unstable emotional/psychological issues. So what are you trying to say? Japan has a better time concealing their problems? ...Good for them? My heart goes out to any group of people who are feeling suppressed, and yes I already knew most of what you brought up.
Also I'll bring this up again: by attacking me and resorting to a superiority complex (seriously, don't ask someone to look something up, if you have a point, talk about it) you're only perpetuating the problems you're talking about. I'm 100000% real when I say I have nothing against you, but the way you decided to speak your illogical viewpoint.
