Didn't Regulus immediately identify the WoL on sight?True but who can say what can happen with crazy echo powers. As I said, whatever happened during the calamity lore wise robbed everyone of the memory of who the Warriors of Light were. They only remember that they existed. They can't even remember what they looked or sounded like. That would suggest there is some way that could allow us to hide who we are.

"These are not the Warriors of Light you are looking for..."
That happened because Louisoix removed the WoL and pals from reality temporarily to prevent Bahamut from murdering them. It has nothing to do with crazy echo powers or anything we could actually do without using immense amounts of aether and probably forbidden magic. I mean, Yshtola maybe could do it, but it'd involve taking another 5 year hiatus and absolutely no one remembering us, not just the Empire.True but who can say what can happen with crazy echo powers. Yeah, as horrific as that sort of thing is...it isn't something common with Garlemald's army and it's something that happens within Eorzea as well. In fact, there's a lot of forced slavery that goes on within Eorzea. Ishgardian's often abuse their lofty positions to have their way with those that catch their eye. (I believe the DRK quests heavily touch upon that) and in the ROG quests it's revealed that there's a lot of unrest, murder and crime going on within Limsa's streets.
I still need to get to the Dark Knight quest, so I can't comment on that, but for the Rogues quests, those are very pointedly people breaking the law. You can't really blame Limsa as an entity for that. They are taking pains to cut that shit out.Yeah, as horrific as that sort of thing is...it isn't something common with Garlemald's army and it's something that happens within Eorzea as well. By contrast, every single one of the Garleans we have seen doing things we disapprove of are people they have chosen to act as representative of themselves. Regardless of whether Livia was acting on or off script when she went all Chuck Norris of that defenseless Sylph, or any other member who hasn't specifically gone rogue behaving in some distasteful way or doing something which on Earth would be a war crime, they are representing the Garlean Empire.
Livia seemed to be the loose canon of the group, the other two tribunes did what they did because Gaius ordered them to but I think Livia might of broken a few boundaries since she may of had 'something to prove'. Although Rhitahtyn did himself a disservice by calling off his men and Nero didn't really do wrong by Gaius but he did let grudges get to his head.By contrast, every single one of the Garleans we have seen doing things we disapprove of are people they have chosen to act as representative of themselves. To add to Limsa, kidnappings and being sold into sex slavery is so common that females have escorts with them to prevent that and that is very rare/uncommon for a female to not have one.
That and most people try to mind their own business when they see that a person is in danger in Limsa
That was because of the informationhad been feeding Varius as his mole in Eorzea - he specifically states her by name and says she explicitly mentioned in her reports to Garlemald that "the Warrior of Light is like to appear at opportune times" (paraphrased slightly). It makes me wonder what other Eorzean secrets she betrayed to the Garleans, particularly concerning us... either way I actually pitied and empathized with her once. Now however, I hope she rots in her cell in the Masraja Pit.Raoille
