Yeesh I didn't think to count the actual difference between likes and votes counted. That's a ridiculous differenceMy issue with the voting is the sheer discrepancy between the valid votes and invalid votes. 6,500 likes for the first female runner up, but only 3,250 counted. Literally half the people who voted for that hairstyle voted incorrectly. HALF. That's not just a "few" people who didn't read the poorly-presented and obfuscated rules. The winner had 4,000 counted out of 6,000, but came way later in the listing. That's still only 2/3rds of the voters voting correctly for that entry.
Meh. That's all I can say. Am not even bothering with the numbers or the rules - the whole selection was awfully bland and hardly anything we don't already have in-game. Just uninspired and not motivating or exciting, 99% of them.
Not at all true. What you should be saying is that "in truth many players failed to read the crucial voting rules that were plainly stated from the beginning of the contest, but unfortunately reading was required instead of blindly jumping in and throwing 'likes' around everywhere".
There's a lot of things to dislike about the way this contest was handled, but your complaint isn't one of them.

Oh look, pretty boy won. No one saw that coming. /s
lol it's just ugly for guys -_-
You guys don't like the one direction hair? But come on, we totally don't have anything like that already!
...oh wait.
If you voted once and then went back to minding your own business you probably wouldn't even have noticed it. However, I was literally obsessed with the first runner-up. I had the voting page up all day, everyday during the voting period and refreshed it several times a day. I specifically remember following the two hairstyles that had the most votes from the time that the winner was in the lead by 160 or so until the time that it was losing by about 200 votes.
If you check here ( http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...7a8ecee02a43ce ) on the announcement for voting, it specifically says that the voting period was "From September 1, 2015 to September 6, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. PDT". On September 6th at 11:00 p.m. PDT the first runner-up had the most votes.
As a matter of fact, their results aren't even from September 6th. BOTH of the hairstyles had more votes than they displayed when they announced the winners. These results were from days prior to the stated cut-off.
If I had known that whoever was in charge of the contest wouldn't follow the requirements they themselves posted, I would have taken screenshots with dates and times available so that I could back up my claim.
SE really messed this up as far as I'm concerned. Yes, I would love to see the first runner-up in the game because not only did it have the most votes at the stated cut-off time but it was my favorite so I'm biased. However, I don't think it's fair for SE to take away from the people that they already announced as winners. Imagine how the designer would feel to get that taken away from them. The only solution I can come up with is that the top 2 from each category are given the grand prize and that all 4 are implemented into the game.
WTF i know the difference with the braid/ponytail and the low ponytail hairstyle with the female was little!
but i swear the ponytail of the male was winning by far!!! the fuck
