My Experience With Alexander Normal Yesterday As A Tank

A hello from a what many consider ingame and here a noob tank which I am proud of because there's a gigantic room to improve myself.

Yesterday I attempted A1 after many failed attempts few days ago (which include asking them if i bring boss to middle with other boss to Caster LB them, they responded with flaming after the wipe), went again, asked the group if BRD have to LB, thy said yes, got it down on 2nd try.

Went to A2, told them I was new, no respond (was made mostly of frenchies so no surprise), got kicked after 2nd failed attempt, went in again with different DF group, got it down from 1st time.

A3 time, told them again it was my 1st time, other tank was extremely helpful and explained most tactics, another member was almost as helpful, downed on 2nd try.

Lastly A4, told my 1st group that I was new, no respond and we wiped, left the group because they didn't want to bother explaining in short, went with a friend this time, downed on 1st attempt.

Seems very typical and I don't blame them. When players use the DF, they are expecting to be in and out of content with very few wipes. Not many people want to deal with someone that is new.

I never saw a PF for Alex normal so only option for me was to DF it.

As you said, if you want to go blind or train, that's what the partyfinder is for.

Ok, what is going on here? Are you people seriously suggesting to PF something so incredibly simple and easy to DF as Alex Normal? That's like asking for an Ifrit Hard PF.

OP was in the right to go blindly on the DF's. No one is going to join an "Alex Normal Learning Party" PF - nor they should have. Seriously, this is story content people. You are meant to go in there and learn. Asking people to have watched a video for Alex Normal is like asking people to watch a video for Praetorium or Castrum.

Anyone seriously suggesting that he should know the fights prior to doing them needs to get their stick out of their butt and let new players experience content meant for new players.

Alex is not main story content, and is not run by the majority of the player base. And even then, it is still rude to expect everyone else to explain your job to you.

not watching a video, or refusing some form of study, then going on to complain others didnt provide you with the walk through is pretty much what the original post is.
1 approach is you do the work yourself. the OPs expectation was for others to provide for him. they didnt. they wiped. they removed the weak link. is it worth crying over? certainly not.
in his mention of A4 he went with a friend and cleared. im sure his friend gave him an explanation and friends are more likely to do this for you. expecting strangers who have no ties to you to provide? right...
he could of had his friend accompany him through the whole thing and prevented this sob story in the first place

Best thing is to make your PF and include first timers. It doesn't take more than 3 hours to learn all the turns without watching a video.
