No its called being smart why put time into leveling stuff you don't want to use? Or care to play sure some may do it for the job story's but that's pretty much it.
My goal in an MMO is to constantly progress and get stronger. Leveling multiple classes does not make me stronger. Perfecting 1 class makes me stronger. When the game limits my ability to get stronger to 450 esoterics a week or trying to find a static group that can fit within my schedule to do Alex Savage, the game in my opinion is lacking content. Also, I enjoy MMOs a lot more when everything isn't instanced and you get to interact with people outside your little clique, something that Final Fantasy 14 lacks.
Because if it was appealing to him he'd have done it already. The same as in every post like this.
During the course of 2.0 I leveled every single thing I could to 50, maxed out my chocobo, raided as far as I could go, geared all my classes up as high as I could (battle as well as craft/gather), did a billion treasure maps, was there for every event, worked on my relic (though didn't finish it), etc. In other words, as someone who engaged with all the content I don't think it's fair to criticize people for not wanting to do all of it. I'm certainly not doing it all again in 3.0 because it doesn't feel as fun to me either. Everything can't be all things to all people.
These forums are for players to provide feedback to the developers and to discuss what's on their minds and shutting down every person who says they feel frustrated at what's available with "well have you done _____? No? Then you haven't done everything yet so get to work." is not only unhelpful but counter to the point entirely. Let's not forget that player feedback saved this game. The OP gave plenty of examples of things he's frustrated with, and has responded with suggestions as well. This should be encouraged as feedback!
Sorry if this seems combative. I promise I don't mean for it to be!
This is definitely the best advice in the thread though, I think. It may not specifically address future concerns but a break and a fresh perspective always helps.

Sigh, why not take a break from the game guys. You're clearly being difficult and you have nothing you WANT to do. Take a break. Come back next patch. You are allowed to stop for a bit.
I still have a lot to do with the game with content, and I'm not bored at all. I don't rush to end-game as I know I'll get bored fast. I take my time to play whenever I can because I have a life. Dun-dun-dun~
Do you understand why i made this thread? BECAUSE they are releasing the same thing with every single patch, NOTHING NEW.
You're clearly done the game then. I don't know what you want me to say, they're clearly taking the game a direction (For years now) that you aren't interested in. I have no pity for a masochist.
I read on the FFXI forums that people on there come to this forum to complain on here, then talk about it on the FFXI forum again. Not sure if that's what the OP is doing. Plus on the FFXI forum, they are saying that FFXIV is losing thousands of subs every week and that FFXIV is losing money for Square-Enix.
All they'd have to do is make every dungeon be a new area in the game after you completed it and give us stuff to do in it.
I mean come on people. All we do in dungeon instances is just run to each boss and fight trash in between. They put time and money to make it all look nice and intreasting only to never go back there unless its for a roulette. At this point they should just save on development cost and not bother making them look nice just a grey room with mobs.
