Why is glam quest level 50 and not like 15?

If lower levels really want to spend their gil on glamour prisms I am not sure why you all care. It stimulates the market more, gets prisms selling, and will gil sink a bit from MB taxes. I am not sure why many of you think that is a bad thing. If a low level really wants to glamour something it does nothing but benefit. The low level is happy, the crafter is happy, and gil is removed from the market to keep gil inflation down.

There is no valid reason that glamours are locked at level 50.

At this point, the answer as to "why?" is "Because SE said so."

Getting a class to lv 50 is not useless, but neccessary. Not only for glamour.

No, it's a game competing with gw2. Lowering the glam level is just that much more to help attract and keep new players.

What newbie GW2 player is going to blow money on transmutation charges? You get plenty of them as you play the game, but not enough to justify using them on low level gear.
Of course, low level GW2 gear doesn't look like ass, usually.

So that you level up and enjoy what the game actually has to offer instead of parking at lv15 and wasting time with the lv1 fluff glamour game.

*looks at bazillion other MMOs that let you access costuming at level 1, or from a very low level* ... Riiiiight. It's no one's business but the player what they "waste" their time on in a video game.

You seem to miss my point. Ok, you begin the game for the first time. Lvl 1, you get a mount, you get glamour, you get all metallic dyes, you get a house , everything you get as a reward for leveling up is instead just handed to you. Now you see the point? If things are just given right at the start, then there is nothing to work towards.

I get all of that in Rift. In WS I get all of that by level 14. Last I checked, people still have lots to work toward.

When I was lv 15 on my first character I didn't have enough for the cheapest glamour prism on the market(okay glamours didn't exist then, but lets ignore that). Don't know if there is a reason the devs choose to make it lv 50, but either way I'm pretty sure most lv15 newbies don't care because they can't afford it.

That's probably a result of what is needed to make the prisms. All prisms require a mid-level item of the relevant craft and crystals. Not shards. Crystals.

In the grand scheme of things, crystals aren't expensive, but I've noticed that anything that requires crystals to craft for 1-50 content tends to be more expensive. Could be worse. Prisms could require clusters instead...

Serious answer: It's designed as a bonus for completing the original story line, much like how other games that reward you cosmetic costumes for new game+, like playing as a shirtless dante in DMC

Yeah, leveling up in this game is certainly useless and getting to 50 these days is suuuuch a grind. I'd say "try harder", but I'm not sure you can.
