Maybe in the sense of something as dramatic as working for the empire. I think though they could give us more choices in quests though rather than simple dialogue choices that lead to the same result anyway.
The closet thing we could get is something so dire that we have to team up with the empire for the benefit of both sides, kind of like the situation with Duelhorn from Final Fantasy Tactics A2, but I wouldn't expect anything beyond that since the story is going to be linear regardless.
Well it doesn't have to be that way. I can see us working as mercenaries for the empire or going undercover. That would be more interesting. The closet thing we could get is something so dire that we have to team up with the empire for the benefit of both sides, kind of like the situation with Duelhorn from Final Fantasy Tactics A2, but I wouldn't expect anything beyond that since the story is going to be linear regardless.
My original thoughts on how we'll see the empire was us going undercover, it would pretty much be the only way we could witness imperial life in it's purest form.
I think that would be really interesting expansion idea. One where we basically are working covertly the whole time and trying to keep a low profile.
Why would the WoL do mercenary work for the group that wants to kill them, killed most of the Scions in 2.0, and wants to see their nation conquered?
Strickly speaking Garlemald has a lot of factions within it. The fact there was a fight over the succession just proves that. If Garlemald had stuff going down within its borders that we had to deal with I can see us infiltrating and even allying with one of the factions within Garlemald. The main issue is that we are too well known but I could see some way around that. After all everyone forgot who the WoL from 1.0 was. They cant even remember a face.
Preeeeety sure all the stuff we did to the empire and Gaius in 2.0 didn't go unnoticed, not to mention the new emperor saw our face in 3.0 and already knows who we are.Strickly speaking Garlemald has a lot of factions within it. True but who can say what can happen with crazy echo powers. As I said, whatever happened during the calamity lore wise robbed everyone of the memory of who the Warriors of Light were. They only remember that they existed. They can't even remember what they looked or sounded like. That would suggest there is some way that could allow us to hide who we are.
