Does instant transportation effect game immersion?

So first its duming down the game... then soon as i disprove that you change to immersion? Pick a point and focus on it.

It does not dumb down the game so thats wrong.

Does it give less immersion? thats an opinion and can not be disproved and you have a right to feel that way. However thats not what I was debating. Does it dum down the game? answer is no.

I have picked all points in different times throughout the conversation. I stand behind them all. I firmly believe Immersion is harmed, balance is harmed, and it is dumbing down the game when you're a click of a button away from a city.

Why is it not dumbing it down? Coz you said so? You don't think it sounds dumb to click a button and instantly reach another city?

That's a thought for you to ponder about. But hey.. i'm not gonna dictate your feelings regarding this. To me Final Fantasy is about an immersive realistic experience in a vast world, whereever it may be, and that includes Airships and boat rides.
