WHM gear is BUTT UGLY

Almost every glamor I come up with for my healer ends up using non-healer gear. I try to avoid crafter/gatherer gear. Currently a combination of Strife and Bohemian. Might throw in Sailor or Allagan/High Allagan bits here and there... the latter is at least healer specific.

If I really want to rock the WHM look I just use the original AF. AST AF I'm just not going to use the original appearance ever unless I fantasia.

I like the Archeoskin crafting top. Put that with the Cashmere healing skirt, Kirimu Boots of Healing, and Dhamelskin crafting gloves/ ringbands/ kings new gloves, all dyed Jet black. Kind of a bad ass healer look. Used to use it with an eyepatch, but the only ones for healers was white.

The Dark Divinity Auga is black and works on any DoM job. The Gryphonskin Eyepatch (crafted one) can be dyed as well to any color.

At first i hated the SCH gear but after some time i started to love it...
AST gear was love at first sight
WHM though.... its...just....too simple....the hat is horrendous (sorry) the pants are meh... the boots are meh... the gloves are meh.... the robe in my opinion is the best part of the whole set (even the staff is meh, i see a LOT of WHMs around my server with a hive cane glamour) it could have been better >_>

It takes an understanding of symbolism to be able to fully appreciate this gear piece in my opinion. But beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so I shall agree to disagree. ^^

I think that's the biggest thing for me (aside from hating the look of the fabric/fit). If I look at the original AF gear it had the little duck pouch, designs on the sleeves etc etc. The new one feels very lack luster in comparison. The arguably most detailed spots like the top of the gloves etc are completely covered up by a frumpy robe. Also does anyone else think the bottom of the boots resemble white ugs? Just saying.

Edit: Also, I don't think the staff is ugly but I would have loved to see a similar design (gold with the faint glowing bits) with a nature oriented theme. A tree or something.

Yeah it's more of a principle thing... DoH/L do get some pretty nice looking gear.
