WHM gear is BUTT UGLY

As Astro we are stuck with an extremely thick, dark and long dress. And we don't even have a little low-cut neckline.

And we can't use light clothing glamour since the astro weapon got a long sheath on the hip.

Well you're lucky that your staff has some glow on it, while SMN, it's just a book...

SCH and SMN have some sweet gear. Your books are small but some have nice designs. It would be nice if there was a way to showcase your books more but you guys have some nice items. You do not get a white robe, a white hood, white pants, white shoes every time.

I haven't really liked a healer robe since second coil. The eso robe is just cheap looking imo, but the pants are kinda cute I guess.

We're showing leg. How ingenious. If you guys have issues, I'm sorry. Start a thread about your glam/look issues. It's not a contest of who has the ugliest....but let's face it, WHM gear is pretty gross all across the board.

At first I thought you were joking, but then I realized you've probably never played any of the earlier FF games before where the White Mage Job originated, so please allow me to educate you - WHM looks like it does in FFXIV because that is the Job's signature appearance - a long white hooded robe with red triangles. Every time the Job has shown up in a FF game as an actual WHM Job (as opposed to a named character who uses White Magic spells), their costume has always been pretty much the same, ever since the very first FF game in 1987.

If you don't like the Job's signature appearance, that's fine, just glamour it into something else - there's bound to be something you like you could change the appearance to. SE are never going to change it's default appearance , end of story.

the funny thing is: everytime when i see a good looking staff it's for BLM. WHM only has ugly ones, except from thyrus and the ramuh weapon maybe :x

and why don't we even have an gandalf-like staff? closest to such kind of weapon is the shiva-weapon. but meh...

and then the gear... since they implementet the glamour function i never wore any of the actual white mage gear xD

yeah, i'm fine with a long white hooded robe with red triangles, but that says nothing. the AF 1 was nice, okay. only missing thing was you coudn't actually wear the hood. but the new AF gear is ugly as hell, especially the hood xD. both are white with red triangles...

i like to wear white stuff and look like a white mage. but the best looking glamour for this i found isn't actually white mage gear xD

This. All that was need was for them to let us put the hood up on the AF1 (or the myth one) and we would have been golden. Instead we get to look like a Peppermint Starlight Mint, with a skullcap/hood monstrosity.

I've play Final fantasy since 1 on super nintendo. Back then, they were 2d graphics. That's changed and a lot has since. We have classes in FFXIV that didn't exist. It's a world that changes and grows. So SE has changed a lot of things since. The weapons are not weapons that we've seen before. We used to have a wooden staff and that was it. So now, you've been educated on the changes since the late 80's. SE has had a lot of RPG games and this is their second FF MMORPG. MMORPG's are meant to defy the envelope and are always evolving. The myriad of other changes proves my point. So if you're going to try to be condescending and feel the need to ''educate'' people on their OPINION, do yourself a favor and click on the next thread.

The only piece that is really nun-ish about the AF2 set is the head piece really. The rest isn't at all. Both of the WHM sets are just takes on the classic WHM look. As far as everything being robe goes the other healers share that with the exception of the SCH gear.

So, you've told them what you don't want, maybe you should have included what you would have liked to see, aside from more of a difference in the sexes.

They have 2 robe designs they keep recycling adding belts, pouches and other unneccessary random metal bits here and there.
