It must feel awful to be one of the finalists and have everyone tell you that it's boring, not creative and shouldn't have been chosen. At least in this thread there is a circle of people who love each others works. I wonder how true it would be if some of these would have been in the finals instead. I feel there is merit in all these hairstyles here and in the finals.

It does, it feels really awful. The amount of hate for who got chosen is so over the top it's ridiculous, pretty much every page in these hair threads has someone saying how awful the finalists are and how everything else would have been better. Whether mine wins or loses at this point doesn't even matter, in fact I don't even want to win anymore. Everyone is so ungrateful I wish SE would just pull the plug and say we'll try again when you guys can do something other than criticize your fellow players and complain.

You all could have posted your pictures and your opinions WITHOUT insulting all of the probably super happy people (like me) who got chosen. It makes me sad and I hope none of the finalists are young enough to take it to heart, because words are words and insults are insults no matter what form the words come in.

Um... okay first off, this is a public internet forum, people can and will speak their minds, and you are very much entitled to not like what they have to say about the situation.

Secondly, I've yet to see anyone ACTUALLY lash out at the individuals themselves (granted I haven't read EACH AND EVERY post in this thread, maybe 90%), but the way the people who picked out the finalists picked their choices, which I too, question this method. If only because a clear cheater was found out and awarded a finalist spot, yet someone who did play by the rules, wasn't allowed in. This is now the second contest they have allowed a cheater to actually win/place. Thankfully they retracted both times, but still... it makes you wonder how well they actually pay attention to these contests now (I know I question it...)

You seem to be the one on some advent witch hunt, wanting to blame everyone for simply voicing their opinions, which in it's own right is just criticizing everyone else and their opinions. MANY people here, me included, do not like the actual hairstyle that was used, no one is really saying "OMG what awful artwork, what awful pictures, what awful people!" It's more of a "Wow... this seems very un-creative to MY personal opinion and tastes, I wish something else more not seen to what we already have would have been show cased and/or winning."

This is just my 2 gil on the situation of course... but you seem to be elevating the situation well beyond what it actually is.

The question in hand wasn't about the cheater in particular. She was simply replying to me making a comment how awful it must feel to be a finalist and have everyone tell you that most of the finalists didn't deserve to be there over others. You're right that this is a public forum and therefore opinions are expected, but that doesn't mean someone can't have tact when appreciating artwork without putting down others.

Except that nobody insulted the current finalists (to my knowledge that is). From what I've seen, nobody bears any ill will toward the people chosen and the only entry to get singled out over and over was the one that looks like Qustis' hair. What people have a problem with is that the lack of diversity in the hairstyles chosen for the finalists, which is all on SE.
