Mine was a cross between Alkaid (Yoko) and Natsume from .hack//GU. A fiery and wild hairstyle. haha

In rules it stated that the hair style did not need a back view

Or the Devs just didn't like it. (The original contest page stated the development and operations teams would choose the finalists. They probably had there own internal vote.

the female hairstyles are really nice, however the male hairstyles are pretty garbage. 9/10 of them are cloud lookalikes with minor changes. Very disappointed.

There are so many talented artists here: StiriaNix,xdjkittiex, KasKatta - to name a just a few.

I don't think SE handled this right. We should've gotten to vote on more participants' styles. More variety should have been included in the finalists.

I don't want to appear ungrateful; a new hairstyle is a new hairstyle, and I'm not entitled to anything - but I do wish that some of the artists featured in this thread, who put in a lot more work than certain doodled finalists, would get a reward.

A. You don't need to censor yourself for the apologists in this thread. We got screwed over; receiving an extremely homogenous selection of finalist designs selected by arbitrators with very clear aesthetic biases (which are apparently more important than congruity with the game's art style and/or clipping issues)
B. One can argue we're not really getting "new" hairstyles if there's a similar variant already present in the game, as there are for several of the finalist designs
C. You absolutely are entitled to content as long as you pay a subscription.

I totally agree with this. I have no clue what SE was thinking when they chose their finalists, tons that were not picked are so much better. It seems like SE just decided to pick whichever hairstyles were the easiest to implement. Sad...
