Players who “Like!” finalist entries during the voting period will be entered into a Sweepstakes, and we will be randomly selecting 140 players and awarding them with a Scarf of Wondrous Wit.

In order to receive a Scarf of Wondrous Wit from the voting participation sweepstakes on a specific character, you will need to set that character as your main character on the forum, and use this character to press the “Like!” button. After the voting period has concluded, we will be sending prizes to characters that were set as main characters as of September 6, 2015 at 11:00 p.m. PDT. Selected winners will receive their prizes via Moogle Delivery and there will be no announcement as to who was selected for the sweepstakes.

I'm really wondering what the people on the Japanese, French, and German sides are saying about this contest. I wonder if it's only the English community that isn't happy with what was offered.

I know I'm sounding salty and bitter over this, but seriously, the female hairstyles suck! I'm so sick of the twintails & the braids Honestly there all carbon copies of what is currently in the game and other hairstyles in other games. Going to throw a mention at the hand drawn Copy of FF8's own Quitis hair... Even the current winning one, it's almost identical to Dead or Alive's own Kokoro's alternate hairstyle from DOA5U, right down to the hair tie. I honestly don't know which one I can vote for because they're so hideous. Curious, why was number 12 removed?

12 was removed for not being original work, just Photoshop of an existing hairstyle from something else.

Rereading it after coffee, yeah.... it just says you have to vote.

Log into the official forums and press the “Like!” button for the design entries that you like the most. The entries for the male and female hairstyles with the most “Likes!” will be chosen as the winners.

I think that it is slightly easy to miss interpret this as the votes on the most likes will be entered. I read it right at first, but then got to second guessing after ashelia's reply xD.

@AnaviAnael Sorry for double post, but I've to reply to this, I know a few of my french speaking friends are far from happy on whats to offer. One of them, I cant repeat but another said and to translate & paraphrase "All these hairstyles are for those anime obsessed hytai (don't know what that means) loving weirdos that is perfect for their virtual waifu (don't know what means either)". The german girl I'm friends with only liked the 10th entry, said it was the most normal looking one.

I missed it too at first, but right before the red text it says:

That's in regards to the hairstyles themselves, not the sweepstake. Along with the fact that it doesn't say you have to vote on the winning one to be entered, it would be incredibly silly of them to do so, as it may get some people to vote on the current leading one in order to win the prize.

Oh, never actually read the rules, I just read elsewhere that the contest was only drawing from the winning hairstyle like pool.

Thanks for the reply! I'm hoping this can provide some feedback to the dev team on what people would like to see in the future. It really feels like the contest has devolved from hairstyles to art styles.
