I've noticed this, too, and I've been throwing out theory after theory to figure out why people are acting this way. It's not really that they're just rude (we're online, and there are going to be tons of rude people), but it's their M.O. of not saying anything, ignoring anything that is said...and then whining and belittling other players when something goes wrong.
I went into a Trial Roulette yesterday and got Leviathan. Not a hard fight, but I immediately said that I'd only healed the fight. I'd never DPSed it before. Responses bounced between "press buttons" and "hit things, it's not that hard". I figured maybe I was just misreading their tones, so I tried to shrug it off as humor.
And then we wiped. Nobody said anything. We wiped again, because nobody was hitting the generator. And the complaining began, but nobody asked exactly what was happening or who should be activating the switch. They didn't bother to actually communicate; they just complained. That's when I realized that all the responses I got ware not meant to be humorous. The people speaking were just being rude. Even when someone finally did hit it, one player made a sarcastic remark along the lines of, "Wow, that was soooo difficult".
Really?
I'm not asking for a super-chatty run -- as a matter of fact, I think the amount of times we've had to grind the content in this game has made people less sociable during runs because they just want them to be over with -- but basic communication about why we're dying shouldn't be off-limits.
