this is the main hit that bards were given, and black mages and summoners have had all along. If youre 1 second into a heavy shot and you HAVE to move, you interrupt your cast (a large portion of the time you an wait half a second then move and still get your ability off). Black mages face the same thing except you might be 2.5 seconds into a spell then move and cancel all of it. Swift cast also will not help you in these situations at all as you cant hit swift cast halfway through a spell (surecast should work like this imo!). Ive only finished A1s and 99% of A2s, but of those two its maybe once a raid night when i actually cancel an ability to move. A3 may have much worse things in store.

honestly, imo, bards had it FAR too easy in 2.0, having the range of a caster and the mobility of a melee. While i feel it was warrented to make them play the same game as everyone else, i'd much rather see a sniper training from WOW style mechanic. my #1 biggest issue with WM/GB is that they cancel auto attack making them not much of a damage boost at all. I'd rather see a very solid DPS boost committing to black maging it up, then take it off to move around freely at the cost of the damage.

Absolutely. I said it before and I'll say it again, but the only mechanics I can see screwing a bard over is something like redfire if the bard has to do it and even then, most groups had the healers do it when bard was the "move-king" because of how it limits DPS. At this point as a caster healers can still do a lot of movement mechanics and let the BRD keep up their DPS.

A3 isn't that bad, the worst thing in that entire turn is sluice+protean where you are moving for 2 gcds, everything else is the same 1-gcd movement (toggling WM for the AA is the same or better than WM here depending where you're at with EA CD/cooldowns etc.) and most of that stuff the AoE takes so long to go off that you can finish your cast and move.
I'm on A4 and I can say it's pretty bad in terms of movement and it's STILL not a problem at all, because none of it has to be done on-the-fly
