I changed it a bit. This is to help with RNG.
Also added Virtue (Sword Oath) version.
Critical hits buff Virtue's Blade.
Blocking/Parrying/Dodging buffs Zeal's Fire.

The only 2 Defence PLD and DRK has is Ramparts is Shadow Skin and Senitel is Shadow Wall. The Advantage DRK has over PLD is purely magical and that's it Dark mind beining the shortest Defense CD of 60 secs.
And depends on how you look at this but DRK D blade can reduce incoming Magic where as PLD can't unless they have a MNK in the party.

Nah, the class is not becoming "overly complicated". It's just a defensive version of WAR where stacks are generated by defensive RNG rather than offensive GCDs.
I personally do not like the idea because it feels "more of the same". WAR already is a stack manipulating tank. However, I like the idea of some abilities spending "some" stacks instead of "wait 'till max then empty all". I do not know, it could be fun to play. If I get more DPS or mitigation via more mechanics I feel "rewarded" for "effort spent", which is a play style I like... alot!

Its nothing like Warriors. It is not that complex. You don't use it to use skills. You use it to make skills you have better.That's kinda what I meant though.

it's not adding choice, and it's certainly not going to change anything. There'll still be one optimal rotation, and I'd rather they just fix existing abilities.


Take all that RNG stacks crap out that steps on its own toes with the stacks themselves being more useful than some of the skills it enchances. Apply suggested enchanced versions of skills into game. Except for Spirits being 300 Pot with a 250 Dot and Divine Veils additional small heal proccing off of PLD's autoattacks in its duration(Sword Oath for more of those small ticks because more autos!) and you sir might be on to something.
Work on those potencies as well I guess since a quick glance and I can see they are very unbalanced. But nice to see some actual ideas around here otherwise.

Gain I Zeal when you use Savage Blade, Riot Blade, Rage of Halone, Goring Blade, Royal Authority. Must be in Shield Oath.
Gain I Virtue when you use Savage Blade, Riot Blade, Rage of Halone, Goring Blade, Royal Authority. Must be in Sword Oath.
Gain I Zeal when you block/parry/dodge an attack. Must be in Shield Oath.
Gain I Virtue when you land a critical hit. Must be in Sword Oath.
This is what I would do though, of course I would also gain Virtue when you land a critical hit and zeal when you block. However I would change the way Virtue works.
