Your move, book person. *puts feet on desk*
And healer dps is only really needed if you're trying to meet dps checks when you're below the recommended Ilvl (IE, cutting edge, world first progression)

You...know that means they're right...right? "Flank cap" includes rear; cap is only different from the front.
And pet base accuracy is also boosted. And I'm pretty sure rear has a lower accuracy cap than flank...only it's a pointless value because melee needs to hit from flanks anyway for their positional.

As far as I understand it, rear accuracy is what some sources consider the accuracy cap for BLM (or spells I figure).

And BLM caps are lower than those of the flank. Even if it weren't separate accuracy caps, SMN pets still have boosted base accuracy so the summoner having BLM accuracy would still suffice for their pets.As far as I understand it, rear accuracy is what some sources consider the accuracy cap for BLM (or spells I figure).

Accuracy is pointless.
Just another artificial difficulty gate. It prevents too many Jobs from being able to equip optimal gear as they have to juggle this silly accuracy value.
The sad thing is they thought they were being cool by removing accuracy from weapons and lowering the amount of accuracy required overall and are like "hey look guys! We fixed the accuracy itemization problems!".
I guess everyone at SE plays dps as monk and dragoon? Since those are the only dps Jobs loaded with accuracy at the moment.
Flank and rear caps are the same. Only front is different.
I wanted to buy the Eso hat for MKN this week, but due to accuracy, couldnt. as Would drop me too low for A3 that even food wouldn't get me back to cap. @600. 190 gordian cap has +47 accuracy, cap for A3 is 630.Accuracy is pointless.

When was that changed?
Because rear and flank have been proven to have different acc caps before.
People just mostly use the Flank because it's higher than rear, but rear has always had a lower cap.
Unless they changed it of course.
Rear and flank requirements are different, hence the change to summoner's pet's to treat attacks as form the rear. Magic attack only hit form the rear so this change will allow the pet to have the same accuracy requirements as the summoner. This is the reason back in 2.0, casters had different accuracy requirements (e.g. Coil of Bahamut) because they only had to meet the rear requirements and melee all had positionals and had to meet the rear and flank requirements (flank being higher than rear, so basically the flank requirements). Bard only needed to meet rear but would occasionally miss if they had attacked from the flank or front.
