    That's kinda the point though. WHMs strength and utility is that it will get you progressing through intensive phases. The raw HPS can heal through mistakes so you can get to the next phase of the fight and test out/practice mechanics. If you didn't have that power you'd most likely be hitting other walls rather than just pure DPS checks (damage walls?)

    Sure, once the fight is on farm and people are geared there is less pressure on the WHM but there are other things a WHM could do to challenge himself/herself. This includes but is not limited to;
    • Solo healing
    • DPSing
    • Relaxing after carrying everyone on your shoulders for progression
    • Heal as usual because there will always be stupid mistakes


    Personally I like taking WHM for progression because its reliable. Now that I have the option I'm most likely going to take AST to things for farm. AST cards aren't really reliable enough to consider them a proper utility. They could be useful for one encounter (a perfect balance+extend draw on hand split phase) and completely useles for another (4 spires in a row including shuffle)
