If you really want to see some effects from your cards, ask someone who is parsing how their numbers jump.

This is particularly potent if you save a Balance for the Summoner/Black Mage to reach those tight bursty DPS checks. The 30s card length is perfect to help tip you over into the next phase of adds.

Royal Road Bole, Time D a Balance on a Summoner. 45s of glee for all involved.

(I'm not talking whm vs ast anymore, but your comment was interesting and I like reading people's experiences with AST in raids)

I think it's been difficult to assess the changes because other class changes have been happening at the same time.

Our comp is WAR/PLD/MNK/DRG/BLM/SCH & Me + MCH/BRD in the Gobwalker. I've got the logs so I'll have to take another look.

I've opted not to use balance on the BLM because of the way in which their rotation works...Before when Balance was only 15 seconds it was okay because I could glance to see where she was in her rotation and if it was the start of a fire rotation I'd throw it on her. Now arguably it's less effective on BLM and more effective on MNK (our highest DPS) because MNK has relatively no downtime whilst BLM does have down time (umbral ice phase)

After discussion it was evident our issues were related to the timing of our DPS and the gobwalker abilities were the issue. People were killing stuff when they weren't meant to be or not killing stuff at the right time + gobwalker issues. So I guess DPS quality and timing rather than quantity (sheer DPS) was the main problem. I'm not too sure if cards perpetuated that issue or it was more on the players responsibility.
