I had a HUGE chuckle when I saw the Rising event vendor in Ul'dah. I always preffered that look over the one we have now. That could be nostalgia glasses though speaking for me.

Overall I don't give 2 craps if the event broke the 4th wall, it made me grin like a kid on Christmas morning. Besides, it only matters when a MSQ breaks illusion, little events like these are more about fun than lore-friendly realism.

After last year's event, I was expecting another 'vision' cut scene with perhaps a couple more teases about 4.0 content, similar to the last, wherein Voor Sian Siran and the Gardens of Xarakish got mentioned. Which I liked! It was a tantalizing nugget of lore, only part of which has been followed upon.

What we got instead was simply astounding. All of that, and so, so much more. I'm really not sure how they could top this next time but I'm sure it'll exceed my expectations. For now though, I'll enjoy the event while it's available.

Phenomenal work dev team! Things like this are why I'm glad to continue playing.

I really enjoyed this event! I wish I could go back in again, honestly. I took time to read everything and look at the room, but I would like to go back and look again.
