After finally logging in and doing a few dungeons... I never noticed the TP bar. Mind you, I was playing as a MNK and BLM (so my focus is elsewhere). That said, when I get around to levelling up WHM (next in line), I will most likely not notice it and if I do, it won't bother me.
Old image (before HW and when I was a Roegadame), but this is what my UI still looks like .-.
Ignore the book

Maybe you can stick some "black plastic tape" on your screen covering those bars to hide them...^^;
Well I mean it has the added bonus of helping tanks out when they need to stop and take a TP break and people no longer have to ask those annoying questions like "why is the tank stopping ?"
That and also makes lazy ninja, bards and machnist more noticeable.
<.< LOL I can see why some people want it removed.
Except just about everyone decrying the change, including the OP, has specifically mentioned the screen itself. You're practically the only person who's said it's about the list.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
Personally I find the TP bars a very nice addition so if I'm about to Goad or play a song for someone I actually know it that person needs it. I barely noticed the change on my screen and caught the change in the patch notes. Being informed about the status of party members is a good thing.
I can only think that you don't like changes and you pay too much attention to details that doesn't make a huge differences.
It is just like the buffs have an underline. You dont want the buffs to have an underline cuz?
