If it is something you really want to grind out, it takes 500 fates. Middle La Noscea is one of the best places to fate grind, because the fates are easily soloable by most classes.
To be honest, if I was crazy enough to do 500 fates for Nexus, I'd just stick my arse in Northern Thanalan and watch Netflix or something.
