Perhaps you haven't seen 4 crits in a row in Faust. SCHs in PF around here reliably have better HPS than I do without cooldowns when gear should prove otherwise.

If you "lose interest" in your class just because another got buffed, you might as well level every class, since thats the only solution to deal with FOTM chaser.

Go play AST. Or SCH. If you so think they are better. No one is stopping you. About doing damage as healer, in general the quicker the stuff dies, the less there are hurting your party. I'd call that pre-emptive healing ^^. But really, the strength and weaknesses of the classes ebb and flow, as has been seen time and again. It's nothing new and shouldn't come as a surprise or shock.

My mistake to generalize, just seem to me WHM is the one reacting most to AST changes based on observation on media sources XD

Let me make my dissent clear, since I don't believe I've done a good job of it so far.

It's not that WHM as a class is underpowered (Benediction, Asylum), but rather, less rewarding for the effort input than the other two healers, and I think that over time, this ... mechanical gap will only widen, due to this being the simplest healing class. In the broad aspect of things, most healers play white mage, and that's not deniable given the simplicity of the class. However, with recent changes, people are going to get more bang for their buck by playing AST (not only because it's shiny and new, but because it also has unique utility that WHM currently doesn't offer). The tools that WHM has to heal are dwarfed in comparison to the amount that both other classes have to keep their parties alive (2 kits rather than 1).
