Question about this new TP Bar

In the patch notes they state:

The party list has been adjusted as follows:
Players can now see the TP bar of all party members.
To reduce system load, the values for your TP bar have been removed.
To reduce system load, the list of party bonuses has been placed on the Party Members tab under Party in the main menu.

To which system resources did they refer? pc? ps4? or the ps3?

Must be one naughty tp bar to be eating up all these resources especially on pc.

Can someone please explain cause I don't get it.

PS3. If it's ever to reduce system load for anything it's PS3.

Might be a way of saying there was too much crap on the UI.

Also to reduce the system load on THEIR end. They seem to always have some issues regarding that as well.

It already works that way. For example, if you use the Focus Target on PS3, your gil disappears.
And, during a Dungeon or a FATE, your Quest Log disappears too...which could be really be useful even on PC and PS4.

When they add something, something must be taken away in order to compensate for system load. Their system, the data that is saved server side is immense and it rewrites the data every 15 seconds in case of a roll back you don't lose anything. So in order to keep that 15 second synch, when a new feature meaning more data, needs to be synched something has to go to even it out, or else we need to shift to 30 second synch. Or so they would have you believe.........

Could be that seeing numbers would be seen as advantageous by some players so they decided to make it universal. PS4 & PC are both more than capable of displaying the numbers, it could also be server limitations... =l

Pretty sure its a combination of PS3 and server limitations on their end. (The latter is why we don't have a Company Chest in Ishgard yet)

Though, to be perfectly honest, I'll take TP bars over those useless indications of party buffs any day.

I know! I logged in, ran a dungeon, and just tears of joy, what a beautiful sight, after so much time playing BRD, then NIN, then MCH and AST. So nice to FINALLY be able to see when would be a great time to use it, instead of guessing and usually wasting the TP buff.

Your quest log disappears? But FATE and Duty info is IN the quest log.. why would it remove it, wtf?
