A request for Capes & Cloaks

Once again this is not "some people with low end PCs" this is a cripple on the system to make without looking like crap, no matter the setup.

Hey buddy listen i'm not a wow players so don't go on and being a rude person. I played FFXI for 6years and only play wow for 2month before quiting that shit. So don't be a rude *** if anything players like you are the reason this game is lame. There no issue for adding capes in a pack or something if you don't like it turn the dam thing off -.-

It's ok to request to make this game more casual, more solo more easy. But a person can't request something like capes? where it does not mess up anyone if you can just turn it off? i don't see why any of you just going on this topic and saying no. At least someone of give a good reason why everything should not be solo/casual but it still going to be right?

Yeah, I'm the reason game is lame, not people who want to add every pointless little thing from here to the moon.

Why it bothers me? We got next to no content, community is going down the crapper, seriously, when was the last time you actually interacted with someone outside of an LS that didn't seem like they were from another planet? our events are kill this and get that being recycled on a monthly basis, every class is basically the same class with a set of different animations, we've got five armors in the entire game and every other armor is a recolor of one of the original five, we have two levee types, two quest types, and they are recycled to random coordinates, AI is horrible on the NPCs that are supposed to walk, optimization of the game engine itself is absolutely horrendous to the point that it is unbelievable, the games "monsters" are essentially 10% rodents, and 80% dinner, having no final fantasy spirit whatsoever, only the last ten being remotely final fantasy like, the environments are copy-pasted mess of unoriginality, balancing is down the drain, half the features are unuseable, a year into the release we still have alpha test bugs present and for every step SE takes even remotely approaching repairing this jumbled mess of confusion, there are ten people ready to spring up protesting the change because "it does not remain true to the spirit of final fantasy" like they are an expert on what final fantasy is when no two games were ever alike.

And on top of all of that we have people like you, people who ask for superfulous pointless features that would "look cool" and even when getting a straight up "no" directly from the company itself you still try to justify it with meaningless lines like "it can't be that hard" or "it shouldn't take that long" how many games have you made? how many teams have you directed? do you have any idea of the complexity it goes into making a game? can you even begin to imagine to collosal amount of mind numbing work it would take to fully construct and implement capes? do you even realize what a "pack" is? do you understand that just because it doesn't come on a disk it doesn't mean it's not difficulty to do?

The reason I am upset is that you can't seem to understand it's not about seeing them, i can turn them off, but it wouldn't stop you, even if we got them, there would be more like you, there would be more that wanted logos, than more that wanted better dynamics, more that want it to stop intersecting with a weapon when its on the back, the cycle never ends, i can turn off a cape, i can't turn off the community that seems to think prioritizing a gimmick takes precedence over improving a system that seems to be broken down to the very core.

yay arguing... that always livens up a post! I dont really care about capes as long as there realistic and fantasy like. I know how we have cowls and robes and stuff but i want those coats that jedi have that hide your face and sneaky sneaky O.o xD

Once again who said to add them now? i said around a pack by which if this game is not better then it not going no where then. Top of that i'm not the OP but i agree we should have them and there no reason why they should not add them.

I understand how hard it would be to add capes and how much work but does not mean we can't have it sometime down the road. I'm not here complaining i just saying at one point or time we can have this if SE want too.

If SE tell us 2years down the road the reason they can't add capes is due to issue with the game. Then it be ps2 limitations all over again here they can't add jack due to it and that all the answers are when we request something. Even now we can't add mail box due to system can't add this due to system o.o i wonder when the system is fix what new thing they going to say to tell us the reason they don't want to add it. Even if it true that they can't add due to Point A,B,C at least try other way.

I can care less if they add Capes or not i still stand by if someone requesting it and they can do it why not. Maybe later they can i don't mind if they never add capes i just standing up to the OP request and i myself wont mind if they add it or not. Even in FFXI i want capes to be display but most of them where ugly so i said na.

In FFXI i always want a Sheath to hold your sword,katana or hand to hand wep would be hold by a hook on your pants i thought FFXIV would have this but it seem like it be to hard to add. I wont even request tho i know it can be done but pointless and too much hard work at this point. But capes i think can be done some point in time in FFXIV.

I'll end it here there no need to be rude and say thing i'm saying when i'm not i'm only saying why should we not have cape at some point or time even if you dislike it does not mean we can't have it.

wtf are you talking about? i never said that o.o i said it should not be hard to add in a "expansion pack" 2-4years down the road when there no issue with servers/core system. If that still a issue by then, then i don't know how far ffxiv would get.
