Why do healers not gain as much contribution to a FATE as anyone else?

a litle tip.
look at the party finder,most often there is at least 1 long time fate farm party or just for that boss, heck put you own up, stance dance+ heal and raise everyone, put out some regens aspected benefic / medica 2 / asp helios on party, should get you nice and high rewards

+ pop oh shit heal cd / heal increaser on the mt if boss or someone getting raped by mobs

From what i saw is that if you are in a fate group and people do their work you get golds for just healing.
At least that is how i managed to do 47-50 in the matter of a couple hours.

Blame the idiots in FFXI who abused such mechanics - specifically when Campaign was added with the Wings of the Goddess expansion circa 07/08 (which ARR's FATEs are a baby brother of), players discovered they could exploit generous exp rewards for healing/buffing in the battle by simply switching to or even just subbing BRD and singing the same stupid song over and over again until the battle ended, without even doing anything in the battle.

SE eventually realized what was happening and greatly reduced the exp gained by healing in Campaign in a patch - only by actually fighting and dealing damage to the enemy will you get any decent reward from the battle (just singing songs nets you virtually nothing). No doubt this was on the ARR team's minds when the FATE system was developed for ARR, obviously Yoshi wanted to avoid a repeat of that whole sordid business.

So instead we have a system in which I can switch to Paladin and flash a bunch of mobs on trash FATEs and get gold with doing minimal damage. But what happens if I main tank Gorgimera? Bronze only for doing my actual job effectively.
