    Yeah, I should have explained myself better, sorry. What I mean is that most people did that without having fun, because they wanted the weapon or simply because there was nothing else for them to do. It was not difficult, it was boring, and those that gave up did that simply because they weren't interested in neither the weapon nor grinding just for the sake of doing so.

    In other words, a % of the playerbase doesn't like to do boring or frustrating content (let's not confuse hard with frustratting, please). They want to play the game and have fun, and that's why you see a huge percentage of the playerbase that didn't finish their relic, nor do the hardest raids. Moreover, I can assure you that quite some of the people that finished Coil did that because of the story (because of its ties with 1.x), and they won't do the same with Alexander Savage.

    I hope that I cleared it up a bit :P

    Exactly my point, people that didn't have anything else to do, could work on relic. That was the whole reason they put it in the game. God help us if they nerfed the 3.1 relic. We already got esoteric weapon for the people that don't have a lot of time to play or simply don't give a ****.

    There was nothing else to do because some of them just focused in a single part of the game or two. It was not a compliment for neither the people nor the content, and note that I don't have anything against that kind of mindset, but I'm against boring grinds and do-it-just-because content. I got my Excalibur because I wanted that weapon, but you can be damn sure that I didn't have fun and that it did burn me a little of the game, even by taking it slowly. I would have prefered to get it some other way.

    I want fun things, which includes actually hard content, not that "memorize this pattern and don't miss a single thing for 0.01 seconds or you'll wipe your whole party" that we get sometimes, nor the whole "grind for 130817893719283 hours and/or waste 200M of gil" (I did that already back in the time in other MMOs) that we get even for the most trivial things like TT or chocobo racing. There's plenty of content to choose right now, so there's no need for these stupid grinds. Make things fun and (more) people will play them.

    Raiding should continue to give the best gear, since the entire point of getting higher numbers is to take on greater challenges. It shouldn't however be a vehicle for the main story of the game.

    From personal experience and seeing how hard people are getting stomped in A4S, I don't think anyone is going to call Alexander savage easy. Like ever.

    35k ppl *cleared* savage floor 1. it's not 35k that just went there.
    only 35k cleared it, cause well...it's savage...and we're still not at a comfortable ilv, where more ppl can clear it.

    uhm, considering the low clear nr for floor 2-3, just makes me not regret, not even bothering going there.

    Still think they either need a third difficulty(hard), or to up the difficulty of normal.

    If you're not good enough for Savage, you literally have no raid content to do once you have all your Alex gear. That's completely depressing.

    I don't hold any hopes for the 24 man raid, because that's going to be DF content like Syrcus Tower. Not an 8 man static.

    You do realise there are some who don't care about any kind of Alex that are level 60? It says how many cleared Alex normal floor 1. It does not statew how many got to level 60.
