I still want a filter for it... idc if take mnk's stuff with it. I want to choose to look at it or not. It shouldve been placed in the same category with Wrath. This was their hindsight. Fix it and lets move on Square.Dark knight’s aura effect inside town
We’ve been receiving requests to be able to hide the dark knight “Darkside” aura effect. The effects are managed in several groups together, but with the current system it will be difficult to just hide the Darkside effect. If we were to turn off the dark knight’s effect, it’ll also turn off monk’s Greased Lightning effect. This part involves the system where players can play comfortably, so please let us think about this. We’ll check with Assistant Director Takai about the effect adjustment.
I honestly don't see the big deal.. I see it in town but it never bothers me to do so. Though while I'm thinking about it I do have both versions of the game, PC and PS4. On PS4 the Resolution is a lot less and character models are much bigger, I'm not sure if that would cause it to be more of an eye sore or not.. Eh, but its W/e. The do they do they don't they don't.![]()
Aha we're screwed. It's gonna be changed in 4.0.
They don't get that greased lightning is only a few sec and doesn't stay up in town, even if it did, it's only centered in the character.
Does anyone have any idea if this flame effect under the feet is the effect Fray has in the level 50 DRK quest? Cause, that's what I want.Yoshi p said this apparently:
''Regarding the dark knight "Darkside" effect from the job video
Originally there was a dark flame-like effect added to the feet of the dark knight while under "Darkside," and while this was a cool effect, unfortunately while testing in various situations, such as while mounted, it looked unnatural and we adjusted it to what it is currently. However, when we add in new actions we may add this effect back in. ''
When we add new actions... what does that mean? do we have to wait till the lvl70 cap before we see a possible blackflame effect? T_T'';;;
Again, that Aura doesn't make sense to give us because it breaks lore prospective. That Aura is an embodiment of nothing but pure Darkness. We are WoLs. Meaning that we are to set the world into Harmony. Doing so with nothing but the right intentions and serving justice to those that pose a threat to that Harmony. We are not allowed to embrace that level of Darkness.

actually it does make sense because when your using dark side your tapping into the darkness that resides within yourself, so one way they could do it is the higher your level the more of a dark aura you had, since at level 50's questAgain, that Aura doesn't make sense to give us because it breaks lore prospective. We are not allowed to embrace that level of Darkness.you quell the darkness in you with fray and your now at side by side and fray will take over when you call upon her. (i am a level 50 dark knight so i don't know about the post 50 quests yet)
Sometimes you just got to have Some fun
I would rather have the black flames and get rid of the red aura effect but ya up to SE, atleast half of the whole community wants it yet they neglect it: I give up asking.
o.o?
They changed Dark Aura? I just checked: Still looks the same!
That other Dark Aura - the "inner you"clone-char(Job quest lv50) had is way more suitable.
Its like: the "inner you" is controlling you or giving you additional powers!
Those currently random appearing red flash-clouds are more for a Berserker-Job(wich we dont have)
It shows raw power and anger!
