GC Ranking Up?

So I made Second Lt. a while back, I have finished all the 3 ranked hunting logs for the Flames, but the personnel officer says I have reached the highest rank possible. I see no quests offered at my GC's little section.

Could this be gated behind finishing the MSQ? I'm down to the final 2 8 man trials, but am still curious if this is what is preventing me from going further. ALSO, I see there are "another" kind of ranking for GC (other than a title)... and on the Lodestone, nothing is showing up.

Finally, I seem to have a LOT of company seals... already did get the weapon & shield, the armor pieces are not as good as the Sorcer's gear I now have, so what potential uses are all those seals (could it be that if I CAN go beyond Second Lt. there may be better gear to be had?)?

So far you are at the highest level. At some point, they will be adding higher levels to the GCs in a patch. We don't know when that will be though.

Hasn't been touched for 2 years though, so I do wonder when the next GC ranks will become a thing...

I had expected a new rank to come out with the expansion, but it didn't. So now I'm guessing in 3.1 it'll be expanded another rank or two above 2nd Lt. (That's only a guess, though, and I was wrong before.)

"We're also working on something for the Grand Companies which allows you to hire NPCs to your army, which is a new element that we think will expand your options within the game."

It doesn't exactly mention new ranks, but if there's a new feature coming connected to Grand Companies, chances are it involves a new rank to unlock said feature.

Mmmm, where be my minion, can't find it anywhere? Nerfed?

Did you talk to Jonathas in Old Gridania (by Apkallu Falls)? He's the one who gives out any achievement rewards you've earned. (Well, item rewards come from him. Title rewards you get automatically.)

Holy smokes... Niw, ya hit the nail on the head... who knew? It even came with a 55 ring (I got 2 70s now). Being really new, I devour a lot of text and never have I come across how this works.

Took a tiny bit of head scratching to get to the result, there was NO marks over the guy and it wasn't exacly straightforward what to do. OTOH, I have seen a few somewhat elliptical things in the game to date!

Many of us came from 1.0 into 2.0 with max rank, running up to that counter thinking we'd get new ranks. Two years later, not a peep lol...
