Flash is PLD's Unleash equivalent, so yeah, you do the same thing on PLD as you do on DRK. The two classes play very similarly, but the damage potential on DRK keeps going up while PLD's defensive options increase instead.

Also, specifically to your thread title, yeah, I think DRK is the easiest of the three tanks.
