melee dps could kill the things that are almost dead so the tank takes less damage and the healer can do more damage.

This. Of course we aren't going to do mass tons of AOE damage, such is not a MNK's function (very limited AEO) But I am going to single one out one by one (the one the tank is targeting) and kill them ASAP and move on to the next enemy the tank targets.

MNK can do some pretty hefty AE now. Especially if you GL3 then PB RB spam.

This is where that magical hate meter comes to play, you attack until your yellow/orange, then switch to a new target. You don't go guns ablaze on just one target.

Depends, if its below 10% and a trash mob, go nuts and kill, if youre any good then it will die before it does any damage if you peel the mob.
