    the problem is that pvp honestly is not fun in a 72 man zergfest there is no skill and melee is borked the whole game so why try super hard especially if your melee and your just there to get your pve cap, if they made pvp fun and more balanced people would try

    that's not a random example that is a representative assesment from every game its not like i cant find many images like that showing a ranged in the top? ohh and look at everyone else on the top all ranged you just got carried

    Melee's have been borked since wolves den first came out. This 72 man zerg fest isn't where balance choices should be made.
    The reason there is a melee restriction 1 melee/1 ranged/1 healer/1 tank in wolves den is because the ranged were overpowering everyone else.
    They never fixed it they just placed a restriction so that 2 ranged couldnt be in a wolves den at the same time
    Melee dont have a heavy or they dont move faster then casters(except ninjas), casters can use sprint without any negative side effects.
    Melee's cant use it without having to burn another CD to replenish tp so they can do damage, if you think having to burn 2 cooldowns to HIT a caster is good then you must be a caster.
    and as far as straight damage interrupting a cast that shouldnt be the case

    It's called Weapon Throw. And gap closers. And icarus wings. And TP restoration cooldowns.

    I rarely have issues chasing down people who used sprint, you can use weapon throw, stun them (+charge) or just sprint yourself.
    And casters are having negative side-effects when they sprint, they can't cast anything while moving.
    Melee sucked pretty bad in Slaughter 72 but Seize is totally fine in my opinion, there isn't so much zerg as Slaughter.

    I'll consider melee borked when they can no longer stun and then LB to 1-shot my WHM.

    Also, side note, as a healer I consider Stone my most offensive spell. Because it inflicts heavy to let my melee kill other casters. All the more reason to STICK BY YOUR HEALER instead of scattering all over the map.

    If you're a healer in frontlines I would strongly consider rolling with fending accessories so you can survive the lb, benediction/lustrate/whatever yourself to full health and then laugh at that melee having effectively wasted his lb on you. This of course wont save you if a group is focus targetting you but really nothing will in that instance anyway. You just wanna remove the ability of some lone melee running up to you and one shotting you with a lb, that shouldnt happen to healers nor tanks. Anyway I do agree the fetter ward+stun+melee lb is gimicky and was disappointed that they didnt just keep it in slaughter and out of the new mode but what can you do.
