    It reminds me pre3.0 there was a post asked removing LIGHT from PvP with similar reason ...^^;
    IMO "free tomes" actually is a successful solution that attracts ppl play pvp.

    The mentioned in game exp bonus, or any in game bonus should be given to the team but not the player, bcoz it is always a team work and most likely the bonus will come from kill/capture ..etc
    Some role and jobs would have serious disadvantage, so it will break the balance or job selection.
    And it also encourage more badly internal competition,
    ie. a kill +exp, so you get a 8DPS Party and everyone save their cool down for the last hit.

    It's not an "even said" scenario. The team in question got overeager because they were at 7xx points with 2 nodes ticking, and assumed they'd get carried to the finish line. Then one node ended, and then the other node ended, and they were still at 790. If they had regrouped, they could have killed a couple of people and won - but that didn't happen. They saved their A rank at the cost of the game.

    No node is worth what a full TPK costs you - 24 deaths is a full S rank, on top of whatever nodes you lost while bleeding out. You can skip a wave if you have to! It'll cost your team 80-120 points, but you'll be ready for the next wave, and that's worth at least that much.

    If they want to grab the 'casual player'... remove GC, plain and simple. First 72 ppl that register for a match... boom, right into a match. Faster ques for everyone. This also allows for people to party with their friends reguardless of banner they under. People working with friends make for happier people than random df strangers.

    Dueling option in open world. 1v1s... why not? Give people a taste for blood, a way to practice pvp, and a reason to get better gear...

    PvP gear should have more use than simply being glamour fluff (and the i180 pvp sets aren't even good at being that imo). Gives people incentives to excel and grow.

    And for the love that is all holy... never, ever implement a K/D ratio for people to follow. <--- ruins group PvP dynamics 10 out of 10 times because of K/D-leeters being so easily spooked.

    the problem is that pvp honestly is not fun in a 72 man zergfest there is no skill and melee is borked the whole game so why try super hard especially if your melee and your just there to get your pve cap, if they made pvp fun and more balanced people would try

    If people want PVP without the tomestones and other bonuses that attract PVE folks... you could always do Wolves Den! That's super popular, loads of people to play against!

    Yeah I've been In few games when a goon goes big, steals my kills to get battle high. Then pulls one of our healer and runs off to the other side of the map . For whatever reason a lot of inexperienced players think they can solo a supped up drg and healer. That little symbols is like flame to moths or something. Anyways on the other side there is the rest of the team trying to hold a tome, one healer short. We lose the end.

    While I don't know everybody listed here of course (particularly if they started more recently), when you look at the top 20 or so people who played the most matches, almost all of them are in our Adders Linkshell. If someone had told me a year ago our 'Twin Badders' LS would have grown to over 100 members I never would have believed it. Ironically the name came from me being really frustrated about how things were going from solo PUG'ing matches up to that point, but of course the players in our group are anything but bad and there are several who's win rate suffered last week because we continued to queue up and play over the last weekend when the overall Alliance was pretty fail but who normally get over 50%. I'd say amongst the people in our LS there's perhaps 20-30 who are playing a lot right now, and many of them in more than one job... I know there are statics from a couple of servers infamous for cheesing previous Frontline modes like slaughter by using techniques others without a premade really can't compete with- such as 4 cometor circles landing in the exact same place less than a second apart at the same time as a sleep/bind- but so far the ones from our group have been able to get ahead without resorting to that.
