Go go potato!
Go go potato!
No disagreement here that a nerf is not needed from a difficulty perspective, however the problem is that SoF is the final and biggest hurdle for a lot of players trying to get into HW, and there is enough stigma against it that you get people dropping as soon as bonus pops up (and sometimes even if it doesn't.) If it were any other piece of content I would say it doesn't matter, but it's kind of unique.
Predisposed bias. So your contribution really doesn't help, does it? How about you chip in when we're discussing something you don't like, and then perhaps you can see both sides of the argument, rather than just being dismissive?
This is a game, not a job. When you're already spending an hour of each day's play time doing stuff you have to do, to gear up your classes, rather than stuff you want to do, why would you want to run an instance that you know will extend that time by almost double the amount?
Helping people is fine. I'm a tank, it usually falls to me to explain the mechanics in each instance as it is. But I also have a job and a life outside of the game - I don't have the time to waste. I'm rarely the first to quit if I do get an instance like Aurum, so don't usually eat a penalty as it is. But if there is one, I'll go run my hunts instead. It's a much better use of my time.
With respect to healing AV, you are in the minority. That is all I will say. Tanking AV is whatever, there's nothing particularly difficult for a tank in there. Really good XP for that stretch between 45~50 though. I think it actually gives more XP than Dusk Vigil
Had a similar situation, except I was sch and our dps were drg/brd, tank dc'd after yelling, "nooooo!". We proceeded to clear the first boss, then she comes back, makes some lame excuse about internet issues, proceeds to pull everything between first boss and zone line, doesn't use any CD's, she goes down, I throw a res, she doesn't accept. By some miracle I'm able to keep both the dps and myself alive till everything is dead, she then releases and dc's again. We push up to the second boss, where she comes back again and just leaves.
But yea, rather tiresome when tanks try to hold party hostage unless we kick them. Especially when queuing as dps, and possibly looking at another 10-40 min sitting in queue because everyone leaves after tank does.
Like idea someone posted earlier, make it so your roulette duty is locked in until you complete it, if you leave, you'll get same duty (diff party)when you re-queue, so no use in leaving.
I totally understand not wanting to run some dungeons - I've gotten Tam Tara Hard and leveling every day this week and I don't want to see Tam again for at least 2 months. But at least be honest about it and just eat your penalty.
I've actually stopped vote kicking those people who fake afk or say "I have to go, kick me" (I've seen these actual words on a few occasions), though obviously it's a bit harder when it's a tank. If anything, there should be more of a queue punishment for getting vote kicked for anything but a lost connection; some groups get really impatient with the connection kicks.
That's extremely presumptuous of you to personally attack me.
Willing to bet you're also the sort of person who rages at new people for messing up a mechanic they haven't seen before.
You're playing an MMO. What the hell is wrong with helping new people? Or ANY people for that matter?
Why is it that so many of you simply refuse to give any sort of assistance to other players?
I help people often, especially friends and people who have done favors for me, but why should I be held to your standards of helping people? Why am I forced to have to help people? Helping isn't an obligation or something compulsory. It's something you do out of goodness. Let me help when I want to. I have my own agenda and objectives in this game to accomplish, the last thing I need is someone telling me I need to be more altruistic.
:X Im one of these people leaving (most hated dungeon by me) Aurum Vale too! -> I leave at once and take a 30mins lockout with a smile!OK, these princess tanks who bail out of Dzemael Darkhold and Aurum Vale have pushed me to the limit. S-E really needs to consider one of two things to stop this garbage:
*Gray out the Leave button in Duty Finder for 5 or 10 minutes into the beginning of the Dungeon.
*Impose a 60 minute penalty for leaving inside of the same time period.
All of these special snowflakes who think they're too good to participate in dungeons really need a reality check.
Hate this dungeon!! <-< Mobs are like bricks, bosses are to hard(wipes for new players are like 100%)
Even expert dungeons are WAY easyer than this =.=
Amdapor keep hard mode is another one people just jump ship on as I won't judge cause I avoid that one too cause it never fails everytime I do it the party wipes 3-4 times at the boogeyman, the demon wall part or the last boss ughh -_-
There is a punishment, a 30 minute lockout.
