Outside of large boss FATEs, FF14 does not have any current content raids anyway (raid content as opposed to single group content, as commonly defined by the number of groups required to do said content).
Um under duty finder menu Alexander is classified as a "Raids(Heavens ward)", Where things like Bismark are Classified in game terms as "Trials", So I apologize If I miss understood you, but I was using the terminology that has come built into the game and not terminology that extends from other sources (like games that have come before FFXIV).
I want to be frank and -might be- my post will be deleted but I want to say it. I am an almost daily player of FFXIV since release date, as a crafter I gave up competing with other crafters mainly the fresh starters. I craft/gather for hours weekly for months to hit Lv.50, just to see myself be out beaten by a One-week-player-old-gil-buyers that bought thierselves to a Lv.50 in mere days and only what stops them from Insta-4-Stars in all crafts are the Leve(s) balance which they devour since everything else is bought from the Market Board using gil.
At that time, I knew as in real life there are the Lucky, the Theif, and the Cheater. I stopped competing and only focused to have fun. I craft for fun and mostly to help new players. I am happy about it, I put the concern about being tiptop behind me. I admit that competing with people that: (1. Have time, or 2. Buy thier way to super crafter, or 3. Cheat/bot their way) is just a waste of time, especially when you are certain and sure that the content will be nerfed down and never the opposite.
*note: I am not generalizing to all craters/gatherers, but everyone knows many are like that.
SE does not use the term "raid" as it is used in other MMO's. Raids are purely large scale events; difficulty is irrelevant. They are multiple group events, that are (when introduced) are too big for a single group to handle.Um under duty finder menu Alexander is classified as a "Raids(Heavens ward)", Where things like Bismark are Classified in game terms as "Trials", So I apologize If I miss understood you, but I was using the terminology that has come built into the game and not terminology that extends from other sources (like games that have come before FFXIV).
Now, if SE wants to call 8 man content "raid", then ALL 8 man content is raid content, not just the little bits they have *cherry picked* to call raids. That includes all 8 man trials, Castrum and Praetorium, as well as Coil and Alexander content. Consistency is vital. Number of attendees is the only determining factor. There are easy raids and hard raids; but what makes it a raid vs single group content is having multiple groups.
I use common English. I don't use jargon that may have meaning to one person if they are "in the know" and not to another (such as, for example, the word "salty" - trust me, a "salty sea dog" is NOT crying). That includes using common terms as they apply to MMO's, such as raid content and group content.
I wouldn't count lower difficulties as "raid" content.
The highest difficulty of each is definitely raid content.
The other difficulties are just too easy and simple to be counted.
Difficulty does not matter.
Just because they were easy, that does not exclude LotA, ST, or WoD from being classified as "raid".
Just because it is hard (and lets face it, it is the hardest under 50 fight in the game) Garuda NM is not considered a "raid".
Easy raids are still raids. Hard group content can be harder than the easier raids, but it is still group content, not raid content.
I don't think you're the grand master of MMOs who gets to determine what the word "Raid" is ultimately defined as. In FFXIV raids are clearly defined in the duty finder menu so it's not really up for interpretation. It's silly to argue semantics in what the game clearly defines already.
Did all you DoH and DoL levels get reset to 1? That would be a reset...
HW content is supposed to be *after* ARR content so why would having all 50 crafts but you at the end of HW???
That's like saying 'OMG I was max level and now max level is 60 so I got reset' it's frankly not true. There's simply more content added that you can play now and how is that a bad thing? If you don't enjoy it nobody is forcing you to do HW content.
I just started 2 weeks ago so all my crafts are like level 20 and I won't hit HW content for months. I don't care though because by the time I do there will be more content to go through and it'll take me a long time to catch up. TBH when you like a game you don't want it to end because then there is little to do. Being on the top in real life is sweet but being on the top in a video game is almost always not what it's cracked up to be.
