Would anyone outright quit this game if Legacy status was given to everyone? More than likely not.

You underestimate people. That is just EXACTLY what some of them might do. Not only might some legacy players leave, it'll also damage SE's reputation and get labelled as a company that doesn't deliver its promises.

And you overestimate people. That is exactly what some of them might NOT do. I'm not dismissing the people that will quit. That's why my answers left room for possibility and not answered with 100% Yes or No. People are playing the game because a number of reasons, however, I HIGHLY DOUBT it's because of their Legacy Status(unless the pay less a month makes it easier, then there's that).

SE's reputation and promises are irrelevant to this topic as this is going to tread into a different topic completely.
