Blows my mind that people think the first two raids are endgame content. This is just the start of ANY content in this game.

It's because Yoshida has only mentioned raids when talking about endgame content and his idea of fun in a mmorpg. Plus all other games that implement raids don't implement "one or two", but a pretty high number of them to suit all the player population and give different challenges, making it the core of endgame and party based gameplay.
The point is not everyone is eager to see FFXIV turn into a RAID-based game.
