    Dear SE, is there going to be more to end game than Instanced Raids?

    If not please tell me now so I can just go ahead and quit.

    Raids are fun and all, but if this is the only source of end game content I don't want any part of it. Please just tell us now if you plan to add more than just instanced dungeon raids.. The only end game content you keep saying is, "Another Instance Raid, Another instanced raid, 3rd instanced raid, 4th instance raid.."

    I want to see some Sky, Sea, Nyzul Isle, Salvage, Limbus, etc type events.. not just instanced dungeons.. its SO Boring ot just kill mobs up to a Boss and then fight the boss.. give us other things to do... HNM's, Key Item farmed popable HNM's, Instanced HNM's, there is SO much you have done in the past and learned with FFXI.. Why throw it all out? The prime battles are great, but please don't stop there!

    LOL Salvage, Limbus are all instanced.. but I think i know what you are trying to say. I hope when introducing new areas there is some type of end-game type quests associated in order to gain access to the new areas.

    I realize they're instanced, but they aren't dungeon raids in the sense that you have to do various wings and collect pop items for Ultima/Omega is what i meant.. they weren't dungeon raids.. kill mobs kill boss, rinse repeat.. that *** is BORING...

    I'm ok with instanced content as long as its not just basic raids like WoW every other MMO has.. Make it a little more challenging than that.. I think thats why instances were called EVENTS and not RAIDS in FFXI because they were just that.. EVENTS.

    the same for Salvage.. Collecting Items, to create your gear insetad of kill mobs > kill boss > get items > rinse repeat until everyone has everything in a short time and then content is old and stale..

    Scripted events = lame.. part of the fun of FFXI battles was that there were no scripts.. sometimes mobs were easy and sometimes they turned into hell events constant wing spam or the mind ray thing from Salvage.. the charm move.

    I didn't know camping NMs for months was challenging....yeah that's quite a feat..

    Well, that's what most MMO players consider "skill". Luck, chance and latency.

    When in reality it's all a matter of time. Hell, you play Dzemael enough and I'm pretty sure you can do it blindfolded.

    I agree, the diversity of content and good community from FFXI are what made it my favorite MMO ever... Whereas when I tried WoW, the lack of party based leveling coupled with the boring handful of raids as content and pretty much nothing else made me quit it pretty quick.

    I really like the potential this game has... And it's come so far since that rough launch it had... I'd hate to see it fizzle out at the last minute when it could be such an amazing game. So SE, please take into consideration that most of your players want a wide variety of content, not just raids.

    And don't forget that there's more than just instanced content that satisfies the same goals... Such as spawned world NM's that require trigger items, or quest related things that also do that... And as for the instanced stuff, there's more to it than just 'raids' and single party things. Think of dynamis where you didn't have to be in the party, as long as you held a key item distributed by the leader. That allows for larger groups to tackle tough content that you can't do with just 1 party.

    There's also raids you could make that have you actually fight mobs instead of running past them... But more suited would be BCNM style raids where you don't fight any trash mobs, just an epic boss... Let's face it, the raid style that WoW used was terrible, they got very repetitive because every time you did them, you had to fight through droves and droves of trash mobs... **** that. If you're gonna have non boss mobs, make them strong enough to destroy you if you mess up. Otherwise get rid of them. Training them should be an auto KO though, not the norm. Again, think dynamis. With things like links, random numbers of pops, and devastating attacks such as 2hours like astral flow, they really kept you on your toes.

    This game is looking good so far, but this is all tied to a crucial element for the future of the game. End game content is what will make or break the game down the road, regardless of how fun leveling is or things like that. The end all best way to ensure that it's good, is to have variety.
