Things like this wouldn't be around if there wasn't a market for it, obviously there are more people wanting stuff like this in the cash shop than there are dissenters such as the OP.

Speak with your wallet? How am I suppose to do that, I can't stop lazy rich people from buying stuff that should be earned through gameplay.. so I complain, it's that simple.

I'm paying monthly with the intention of not having to pay extra for vanity stuff, a cash shop belong in a F2P business model, it has no place in the P2P business model.

Vanity is content. People care about vanity. If it wasn't content, I suppose you'd be perfectly content playing the game wearing some grey cubes?

Once again: In the previous year, we got new events with new rewards AND old rewards.

Yeah, cuz I'm not wasting my time complaining about a business decision that SE made. Also the old rewards were from 1.0. A game not many played upon it's release. Now that 2.0 was very accessible to many, there's no reason to keep giving out old items in the game.

Last time I checked, this is a game made by SE not EA. SE has the right to run the game the way they want to. Go see companies like Capcom or EA, then go look at other small companies. All doing the same exact thing, some worst then others.

Any sensible person can see half the complain are about so many minor things, it's amazing we still have support for this game. SE is doing nothing different than any other company out there. FFXIV is a game. A game that is currently in the age of DLC. DLC that is part of the mainstream of gaming. People's complaints are greatly outway by the people who either come to accept the age of DLC or who have bottomless pockets. What's sad is half the complaints are probably people that already have the vanity items already. New people are out of luck and have to do go buy it.

No, I've already pointed out that the last summer event had not only 1.0 yukatas, but also the bikinis from the first event in ARR and the new yukatas. So it was not a "just 1.0" thing. It was a clear pattern that SE broke to milk more money from us.

I am perfectly fine with you (and everyone else) easily and freely obtaining the items that I had gotten from events in previous years because I do not have special snowflake syndrome.

I would like event items for my alts without having to pay for EVERY SINGLE ALT that was not made during the time of the last festival. If it was bought for account wide that would be one thing (though I am still against the cash shop in general).

All I got out of this is that the Bikinis should have been on the cash shop as well.

People just won't accept the fact limited time items are not mandatory to be re-issue or redistribute in a MMO.

Would it make people feel better if SE removed the untradeable on these items? So people could do /shout and sell them for millions of gils.
