Emotes in the cash shop..

I'm pretty sure it's new content for anyone who hasn't done it.

That being said, why would it have to be an old event?

If it already existed and came to the game. It's old content and not new, it may be "new" to a new player. But it's still old. Also..why make an event where it gives the same exact items when you can just worry about making a new event with new items and putting the old stuff in the cash shop so the focus can go to where it needs to be?

I would rather have old stuff that was once obtainable in cash shop than new stuff unobtainable in game at all.
ALSO I dont honestly know, why you have even made this thread... why are you so surprised at all? If you are playing from 2013 you should already know how cash shop looks.

All the dungeons in the game are old, let's get rid of those. Coil is old AND outdated, let's get rid of that. In fact, let's get rid of everything that isn't the latest and hardest raid and have ONLY that in the game; everything else can be bought from the shop.

1. OP Forum register year 2013

2. OP complaint, summer 2014 event items which were available to subscribing member for free during that period, have been placed in the Cash shop for summer 2015.

3. OP makes the stance that people are paying month to month ( in their place) for this content to never reach the cash shop.

4. OP never redeemed said items for free during summer 2014. (obviously wasnt a subscribing member at the time)

Employees of Square Enix, you people should be ashamed of yourselves, selling more and more stuff in your cash shop, stuff that could have been content for players to earn through gameplay.

Not sure what you people are thinking, but have some respect for the people paying for your game on a monthly basis AND for your expansion(s). A cash shop does not belong here, not in a sub based game.

I agree. We pay enough for the sub & xpacs. Why would you even want to think about putting simple things like emotes up for sale? >.< Selling mounts I can understand (though i'd rather do quests to get those), but emotes and clothes? wtf. lol

Things like this wouldn't be around if there wasn't a market for it, obviously there are more people wanting stuff like this in the cash shop than there are dissenters such as the OP.

Speak with your wallet? How am I suppose to do that, I can't stop lazy rich people from buying stuff that should be earned through gameplay.. so I complain, it's that simple.

I'm paying monthly with the intention of not having to pay extra for vanity stuff, a cash shop belong in a F2P business model, it has no place in the P2P business model.

What do you guys want? For them to keep releasing the same items for every event? And then complain about not starting at that time to get the event item? Then complain about wanting new items?

I'm glad it's in cash shop vs me never having a chance to get it since I missed the last summer event.

You know, last year's moon faire was perfect. I had the opportunity to buy the old elusive speedos with cheap priced gil AND enjoy new glamour content. It made the event really special to me, personally, since I been hoping to obtain it since it's ps3 launch. It felt like a reward for playing the game without feeling like my subscription is devalued.

I understand SE wants to make extra money on top of the expensive subscription, but I feel like charging old rewards is counterproductive to their main goal of appeasing to the casual player market. I know there are some hardcore people who prefer time barriers and the original conditions of coil to remain unchanged so that they can feel special, and only them. If you don't give other people a chance to feel the same, the retention rates of subscriptions from the majority would be lowered dramatically. That's less funds to make more content just to make 5 extra dollars in the long term.

That's the issue. Everyone wanted vanity look pretty. This is why stuff like this has gone way out of control.

I don't like the cash shop either. However, I think the justification for having the emote and yukatas, etc. in the cash shop is that they continue to release new items and content each year for all the holidays as opposed to just having the same content and same items every year.
