Doing custom emotes in WoW, doing a fake gold steal emote, you'd see people go into a blind rage over nothing. Made for a good time :3

I think this /slap emote here is kinda different from the slap people seems to have an idea of.
It seems to be more like when someone made a joke, and then you slap them in the back, hence the smiling. I don't think it's one of those negative kind of slap.
OMG HAHAHAHA, I'm laughing my ass off...I'm gonna stand up for the males in the community, Females abuse this on males aswell.

btw, creepy song. *shivers*
I slap all my friends.
That's how they know I care :P
i miss the times in FFXI when a timed blink (changing gear ) , made the person targeting you , lose the target , then the emote was made to himself....
a timed blink when some1 is about to slap you .... and then he slap himself :P , or slap you and you <doble slap> (shiva attack) him and triple attack (thf ),penta trust, hexa strike hahaha ....fun times!
Yes, i take violence against females very serious.
No, it's not. I've spoken to some of the abused player (one from my fc), and they all said that they were ashamed by what had happend to them. Does not sound funny to me.
I don't think that it's part of "enjoying the game" when you get slapped around by a "funny" player.
So what should lala players say when a male roe comes behind and spams (Heavy Thrust) in chat ? Sexual harassment ? Please enlighten me
Do you think we should remove /laugh too? That can be used abusively too.No, it's not. I've spoken to some of the abused player (one from my fc), and they all said that they were ashamed by what had happend to them. Does not sound funny to me.

I think those people you're referring to should just grow skin that doesn't break when a light breeze blows over it if someone using /slap on them is all that it took to bring them to tears.
If someone wants to show negative sentiment towards you, they will find a way to do it with or without an emote. They can roleplay it or they can just verbally berate you.
An emote is just a simple tool used by players. I think you should be more upset with the players than with an emote, especially since emotes are most commonly used in a lighthearted manner.
/slap <op>
Seriously, grow some skin if your going to be online. Not everything is going to be as sparkly and care free as the stories you read or cartoons you watched as a kid.
It's threads like these that keep me coming back to the forums.
