It's just sad. And it seems that the yukata doesn't even include the full costume.

All that money for items that were created using our subscriptions. I'll always fail to understand how anyone can defend these practices in a P2P game, but whatever.

P.S.: I already have all of them, so my complaint has nothing to do with wanting any of them.

Because they've only ever sold vanity items and it's as simple as not buying it if you don't like it? No matter what SE does people will complain. They put old items in the cash shop and people whine about having to pay money for vanity. They repeat events or repeatedly give the same reward and people will bitch about SE not doing anything new. They put them in a place like the Golden Saucer and people will complain about the MGP cost. They put them in something like ventures and people will fuss about the rarity. The list goes on.

I'm personally pretty indifferent to the cash shop. If it brings SE extra revenue and makes some players happy in the process, more power to them both. I'll continue to be indifferent as long as they only peddle vanity items and services. I'll be the first person to take up a pitchfork if they start to sell P2W items, but until then I'll continue to think the cash shop isn't the massive big deal people keep trying to make it.

Why would you buy them when inevitably you will get them anyway, since you need to finish the story to do anything in end game.

No, those two were from a holiday event last year and there was no way to get them if you missed it until SE added them to the store. Store items have never been available at the same time it could be found in the game (Calamity Salvager doesn't count). They're either unique additions or they're from old holiday events since SE (so far) has never repeated an event or a reward the same way twice outside of special promotions.

If people don't like it, they need to speak with their wallets. If nobody buys it, SE will stop adding it.

Considering that it doesn't influence you, your gameplay, or your enjoyment at all, just let people, who want to buy it, buy it.

Because in exchange we get new items every year from the events. Not even WoW does that. Heck, WoW's holiday items are usually useless trash that you can't even transmog.

You're right, they are doing much better than WoW by adding new and well designed cosmetics every year that are free and easy to obtain if you show up for the event.

Why do you mind that SE gets MORE money? Them having more money is GOOD for us, not bad...
If people want it, despite not being here when the event happened, they CAN get it, but nobody is forcing them to.

I way more despise the fact that they remove items from the cash shop and make them technically unobtainable (low drop rate on extremely high lvl ventures while unsellable/untradeable).

And during those times people who had acquired them the previous year complained that people who didn't do it could get it basicly for free. The rarity of the unique event items were but gone and people wondered why even bother with the event if Everyone can get them next year.
It doesn't matter how you do it, there will always be people complaining that it's not the right way to do it.

Well that's true now that you mention it, but they only did that twice that I recall and since one of them was from a special promotion (and still isn't in the cash shop anyway) it doesn't quite qualify. The only real holiday event that I remember being able to do that was the 2nd time the Halloween event rolled around. The other event I recall was when they did the Dragon Quest promotion a 2nd time because unlike the FFXIII event they actually changed the reward, letting you quest the new item and buy the old one.

I could be missing another one from before the cash shop, but try as I might I can't recall any others.
