My WHM also has problems to deal with preys. I think it's their weakness in that fight, and it's something they need to overcome, since they only have Tetra to use as an emergency button (Bene is not good for that). But for everything else, it's amazing.

I don't struggle with it because I use Synastry during preys. The main challenge of that mechanic is not healing the prey target; if that was the case, spamming Benefic II/Cure II/Lustrate or even E. Dignity/Tetra (or even Bene) would solve the problem. The main issue is keeping your tank alive while healing the prey target and then topping the tank before the buster. Synastry makes it easy: I place Synastry on the tank and I focus healing the prey target; for every two heals I use on the prey target, my tank gets the equivalent of one heal, which is enough to keep him in a good spot for the buster. Then I just use Disable to take 10% out of the buster and I top the tank with Benefic II.
In case my tank gets picked for prey, I use Synastry on the other tank and that helps my WHM partner; if I get picked for prey, my tank covers me (PLD ftw) and I use the same Synastry strategy that I'd use if he was chosen.
