Am I the only one that thinks fishing is way too RNG based?

For me the frustrating part is the very small time/weather windows. You have to be lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time with the right weather with the right bait and catch the right HQ smaller fish to even have a chance at the big fish. I feel like every time I have even have the time to go fishing for big fish I can never find one where the stars align and I can actually catch it... The weather isn't right or I just missed the time.

http://ffxivfisher.appspot.com/ is the only reason I managed to catch all the big fish in ARR.
