I've got six million gil saved up and I'm read to push the go button for my personal house this time. I passed it up last time, but I really want a cottage in The Goblet now. (Or Ishgard, if those places are added first.)

Our FC mansion is big and beautiful but we hang out in the yard more than we do the inside of it.

I`d rather see QoL features to housing than just more wards or even ishgardian housing.

-Mirror feature for forniture is a must already.
    -Dye preview for housing items.
-Increased forniture for all kind of houses (+15, +30 and +50 for small, med and mansions, yard and interior). (Specially true for small houses yards which are bigger than mansion and medium houses due to their L shape).
-Increased variety of desings in common forniture instead of big shiny raid/trial items. Like, more oasis, riviera and glade based items, more fence, wall and roof options.
-Personal housing workshop with creation options of housing glamour.

I could agree to that compromise but the best part of the housing in this game is the neighbors and the little slice of open world you get. BTW, I'm really comparing instanced housing to Garrisons in WoW, which were horrible. I would literally prefer not to have housing then have Garrison-esque instanced housing.

What I personally think is that they should have SMALLER wards. Having wards with 5 to 10 houses instead of the 30 we have now should reduce some server load I would think. I could be wrong on that though.

I also think we should have FC only wards. I don't really know why SE didn't just do it in the first place....

Best to at least give people the option to have instanced housing.
I don't know what ward you go in but Mist Ward 1 is very active at prime time. I've seen full RP events and my FC has had non RP events just for us there.

I do NOT want WoW Garrisons in this game and that is what instanced housing creates. It severely separates the playerbase and causes dead areas. It's not worth it.

A better idea is to have apartment complexes where anyone can have a room. That way you don't need a FC with a house to get at least some housing content.

The worst part is that it seems they are reinforcing the idea that you should "go join a FC that has a property if you want to take part" by not addressing the issue. Essentially forcing people to abandon their FC if they want to take advantage of the housing content.

Personal housing is its own matter, of course.

Once everyone who wants a house can have one, then worry about that fluff...

At launch of housing prices were really high and terrible, but now, housing is very accesible for just a few million gil which can be easily made in a few weeks if you are "slow". Now of course, if you don`t play the market board game, well, there are things you won`t be able to afford.

That is not fluff, those are very requiered QoL improvements all housing enthusiast need.

I have more than enough gil to buy *many* houses BUT THERE ARE NONE - so yes, wards need to be added before working on fluff if it is one or the other.

    lolwut?

Yeah, in theory. But in theory, all those "fluff" issues don't exist either.

On a serious note though - I always roll my eyes whenever I see suggestions for more features, or actual new features introduced. Like, sorry, I'd much rather see actual housing actually implemented first?? Because sorry but I refuse to call this abomination that exists now "content". Or even "feature". Something this exclusive and restrictive should not exist.

I think you misunderstand. People would want those QoL improvements too, if they could even buy a house.
